A Message from Sheriff Brian Heino

Prior to taking office, one of my goals was to find more ways to inform the public about emergency services, alerts and general calls for service; that impact our daily lives.

Although not fully dependent on the use of modern technology, I feel we can accomplish a lot of our communication goals through social media and operational flexibility.

Much like my predecessor, my goal is to implement a stronger Community Policing effort throughout the county so that we are more visible and responsive to special needs in all areas.

My commitment to you, the tax payer and citizen of Flathead County I remain engaged with the public through meetings, social media and training; to provide the best service for all.

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office no longer performs Public Criminal Records Checks.

All Criminal Records requests must go through the State of Montana, Department of Justice, Criminal Records Division at the following address:
