A Message from Sheriff Brian Heino

Prior to taking office, one of my goals was to find more ways to inform the public about emergency services, alerts and general calls for service; that impact our daily lives.

Although not fully dependent on the use of modern technology, I feel we can accomplish a lot of our communication goals through social media and operational flexibility.

Much like my predecessor, my goal is to implement a stronger Community Policing effort throughout the county so that we are more visible and responsive to special needs in all areas.

My commitment to you, the tax payer and citizen of Flathead County I remain engaged with the public through meetings, social media and training; to provide the best service for all.

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office offers fingerprinting by appointment on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9am-3pm . To schedule your appointment call (406)758-5585.

Our office is located on the ground floor of the Flathead County Justice Center building at 920 South Main Street, in Kalispell. Please come to the window in the main lobby.

The fee is $15.00, payable by cash or local check, for two (2) fingerprint cards . Photo identification is required.

DNA TESTING
The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office provides court ordered DNA testing on FRIDAYS ONLY from 8:00 am – 4:00 pm. There is a $10.00 fee, payable by cash or local check. Photo I.D. is required, as is payment at the time of service.

[Please note that court ordered DNA testing is not for the purpose of determining paternity.]
