Emergency Response Training
The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office along with local Volunteer Fire Departments has collaborated on a new program for Flathead residents to help them prepare for the worst. “Community Emergency Response Training or (C.E.R.T.)”, will cover the basic skills that are important to know in a disaster or when emergency services are not immediately available. The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office recognizes that its citizens will likely be on their own during the early stages of a catastrophic disaster.
The purpose of the course is not to have citizens respond and assist Emergency Services, it is to ensure neighbors can help neighbors.
The first class is scheduled to take place at the Badrock Fire Department, 480 Bad Rock Drive, Columbia Falls – starting September 30th, and be held from 6pm to 9pm every Tuesday through November 28th.
September 30 – November 28, 2014
